Catarina van Eetvelde defines herself through the activity of drawing. For her, drawing is an attitude and a way to think and work through ever evolving ideas not bound exclusively to the medium of paper. Throughout her work, drawing takes the form of animations, vector graphics, and stitches on fabric, but also writing and delicate sculptural arrangements that often include cables and wires. The lines of thoughts she creates with these compound methods of drawing are a way to relate to the world by bridging the rational and the irrational, the artistic and the scientific.
