Combining sound, sculpture and performance, Liliana Moro composes a world at once raw and poetic. Throughout her work, Moro operates a reduction to essential elements while creating sets of phenomenological relationships informed by a political dimension. She was notably included in the seminal exhibition Minimalia, which traveled from the 1997 Venice Biennale to New York’s P.S.1. This exhibition highlighted the work of key Italian artists such as Ugo Mulas, Carla Accardi, Enrico Castellani, and Michelangelo Pistoletto, who, like Moro pursued a path towards simplification and reduction in various ways.
